This project explores the narrative links that bind space and memory together by focusing on the intimacies of the bedroom. I am bridging a connection between the bedroom as a visual journal where I record, participate and create meaning. Through paper reconstructions of the twenty bedrooms I have inhabited, I am recreating the essence of these spaces endowed with history, ambiguity and navigation. This project prompts the questions: What is the relationship between the bedroom and autobiography? How is this interiority of space reflective of remembrance? What insight can be gained through the depiction of pattern, inclusive of both significant and mundane memories?
